It’s the day to make it special for kids and to find the inner child in you
While some do it by reliving their childhood memories some simply go down memory lane and hum some of the tunes they heard during their adolescence; everyone has a way to cherish the child in them. We caught up with a few television stars to find out their favourite song from their growing up days were and this is what they said…
Ravi Dubey
I used to like Lakdi Ki Kaathi from Masoom. It was quite a lovely song, all the kids used to love it in those days.
Rashami Desai
I used to like Kaun hoon mein kya naam hai mera mein kaha se aayi hu from the film Dard Ka Rishtha. Lata Mangeshkar had sung and it was picturised on Khusboo.
Vivian DSena
My favourite song which I grew up listening was Backstreet Boys. I would often listen to Mohmmad Rafi’s songs as did my mom. Hum bhi agar baache hothe was one of my favourites.
Arjun Bijlani
My granny would sing to me Lakdi Ki Kaathi to get me to eat food or when she played with me. The song holds a lot of childhood memories.
Gunjan Utreja
Though there were many songs at that time but the one song which my nanaji would sing to me was Chun Chun karti aayi chidiya, Daal ka Daana layi chidiya; Mor bhi aaya; kabootar bhi aaya; kauaa bhi aaya hur hur hur. I am not sure if this is from any movie but I know they would feed me by singing this song. Just like most kids, I didn’t like to eat and would just be happy playing outdoors.
Vishal Singh
My memory goes back to Aur Iss Dill Mai Kya Rakha Hai – I love that song, although that was not a children’s song. My favorite song otherwise was Lakdi Ki Kaathi and Nani Teri Morni Ko More Legayi as my mom would sing them for me.
Sneha Wagh
I love the song, Aao tumhe chaand pe le jaye, pyaar bhare sapne sajaaye… I have vague memories related to it. When I was in my third grade, my mom taught me the song for a singing competition. But I was so young and had never heard the song before, I forgot the tune in between and completely goofed it up on stage.
Shivin Narang
I grew up listening to Papa Khete Hai Baada Naam Karega from Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. I enjoyed listening to it.
Simple Kaul
I used to like Bonny M songs as my dad would keep listening to them a lot. I grew up to Nazia Hassan and Bonny M songs. I even loved the Do Re Mi… from the film Sound of Music. I used to love that song as it was picturised on kids and I loved the film as well.
