It’s a known fact that Nigaar Khan, who has just entered Bigg Boss 8 as the wild card entry and Maha Kumbh’s Gautam Rode are the best of friends. We caught up with Gautam to find out what he thinks of his best friend’s entry in the controversial show.
What’s the last thing Nigaar Khan told you before leaving for BB8?
We call each other Motu and Moti. So she called me up and told me, ‘Bye Motu, main jaa rahi hoon.’ (Bye Motu, I am going).
Can you tell us about Nigaar as a person?
We’ve been friends for the past 15 years and she is my best friend. No one knows her like I do. She is not the kind of person who does things behind people’s back; she is straightforward and tells things the way things are. She is not manipulative; in fact she will put people in their place. She is not the kind of girl who plays games.
Didn’t you warn her before she entering Bigg B0ss 8?
She is a grown up girl and knows what is best for her. I asked her if she knows what she is doing, she said yes.
Will you be watching Bigg Boss 8 for Nigaar?
Of course! I will watch the show only for Nigaar Khan and vote for her too. She is my friend, why wouldn’t I?
Who is the biggest threat for Nigaar in the house?
I believe everyone in the house can be a threat. I mean they are put in a situation where you are forced to respond and react. What can they do? Even if you do not want to get into a fight and want to stay away from it, you can’t. The show requires drama and if you are the silent types then you are not seen on the show. If you want to be seen then you have to get into fights, whether it has anything to do with you or not.
What are Nigaar’s chances of winning this show?
I do believe she has the potential to be in the finale. I think people just ought to be themselves and they will get noticed. Nigaar will also just be herself. Whether she will win the show or not – that’s something I can’t predict.
