PK director’s newly launched production is backing Maddy’s next sports drama film
The ace director Rajkumar Hirani, who has struck gold yet again with PK, is known for repeating his actors in his films. After dishing out a successful Munna Bhai series with Sanjay Dutt and creating history with Aamir Khan in 3 Idiots, the filmmaker roped in both Aamir and Sanjay in his latest blockbuster PK. Now we hear that, Raju is collaborating with R Madhavan yet again.
After working together in 3 Idiots, five years ago, Maddy and Raju have joined hands for a second film. But this time around Raju Hirani will be donning the producer’s hat, as his newly formed production house Raju Hirani Films is backing Madhavan’s next flick, Saala Khadoos. The bilingual sports film showcases Madhavan in a rugged angry avatar.
“Since Madhavan’s film has been made in two languages— Tamil and Hindi— Hirani decided to put his name behind it. Madhavan and Hirani have been close ever since the two worked together. So, when the opportunity arose, Hirani was happy to team up with Madhavan again”, said a source close to the filmmaker.
Hirani confirmed the news saying, “The entire attempt is to be associated with quality films, and I will support some films which I feel are good. If the people who have worked with me have good ideas, I will help them.
Even earlier, Raju had edited Sharman Joshi’s Ferrari Ki Sawari. Looks like the prolific filmmaker finds new ways to work with his favourite actors. Are we witnessing a formation of Raju Hirani’s camp here? Wink! Wink!
