There was a time when these two ace filmmakers couldn’t see eye to eye, but all that seems to be a thing of the past…
Anurag Kashyap, who is busy these days promoting his upcoming film Ugly, says that he used to hate fellow filmmaker Karan Johar at the beginning of their careers. The two started their filmy journeys almost at the same time but they never collided paths until last year when the two buried their hatchets and decided to work together. While Anurag appeared on KJo’s chat show, Karan decided to play an important came in Anurag’s Bombay Velvet. So what happened between the two which led to such a brewing brotherhood between the filmmakers? We wonder…
While speaking to a leading daily Anurag retorts, “I had fixed notions about him. I hated him because I didn’t know him. But, when you meet Karan, you realise he is a man who can laugh at himself. You’ll be surprised to see him act.” So now that they’ve become friends, did Karan give his own directorial inputs during the shooting of Anurag’s Bombay Velvet? “No, in fact, people have all these assumptions about him based on the films he has made.” clarified the Ugly director.
Looks like we have new BFFs in B-Town.
