Initially, the leggy beauty’s maiden production venture was supposed to hit the screens in September this year…
Not too long ago, Anushka Sharma starrer NH10 had hit a roadblock as the makers of the film couldn’t find a suitable release date. The B-town beauty, who has turned producer with this flick, was eyeing to release the film in September this year. However, she pushed NH10 ahead as two of her other films were lined-up for release – Rajkumar Hirani’s much-awaited PK and Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet. While Anushka’s intention was to avoid back-to-back releases, she ended up in sticky situation as Kashyap later announced that his film starring Ms Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor will be hitting the theaters in May next year.
Because of this very reason the Band Baaja Baaraat actress grabbed headlines very recently. But Virat Kohli’s ladylove has now finalised a release date for NH10. During a media interaction when asked why her production venture is taking so much time, Anushka said, “We were shooting for NH10 till this year. We had to stop in between because I was doing Bombay Velvet and there were some portions of PK left as well. You know we are doing the film with Phantom and they have other releases. We soon realised that the date wasn’t working for us. Also, its not a Shah Rukh, Salman or Aamir film. So we have to think very carefully ki humko kaun khaane wale hai. So humko soch samjh ke aana pada and we have decided that March 6 is a good date for us.”
