The show has not been getting good TRP rating since a long time…
The eighth season of Bigg Boss has hardly upped its TRPs ever since its grand premiere back in September. With low ratings and not much entertainment being served, the show seems to have lost its sheen.
Although host Salman Khan‘s regular spats with the contestants have raised few eyebrows, him reprimanding them hasn’t quite helped the show to amplify its ratings as well. From a smooch on national television to banal fights all throughout, the contestants have tried their best to give more content on the show but failed miserably.
Seems director company Endemol is feeling the heat of it as they recently got into a disagreement with Colors TV following this week’s luxury budget task. Bigg Boss gave the weekly task called ‘Bhavishyavaniyan’ to the housemates predicting few things about the housemates. The catch was to make sure Bigg Boss’s predictions are deemed as wrong.
While this could have possibly brought in the loudest cheers from the audience and added in dollops of fun to the show, the whole idea of the task went haywire and Bigg Boss had to finally call the task off. Endemol did not take this in the right spirit and ended up having a disagreement with Colors.
Given that the show is already getting lack lustre feedback and bad TRPs, will this further bring in a drop in its ratings? Also with Salman leaving the show, the show would lose its star attraction as well.
