Is Aamir Khan losing out on good projects because of his ‘Mr Perfectionist’ tag?

Even though Khan has no films under his belt, he has already rejected two big banner films. Is Aamir’s perfectionist image coming in the way of his career? Read on to find out…

Aamir Khan is currently busy promoting his much-awaited film PK co-starring Anushka Sharma, Sanjay Dutt and Boman Irani. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, this flick is set to release next week. While Khan is likely to end this year on a high note with PK, next year the versatile actor will have no release. He won’t be doing Satyamev Jayate either. In fact, he isn’t planning to direct a film as well. So its safe to say that Aamir will missing from the action in 2015. However, the scenario could have been different if Mr Perfectionist had not turned two offers. Yes, Kiran Rao’s hubby dearest was approached by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani for their next production venture which would have brought Khan and Deepika Padukone together on the big screen for the first time. However, the Dhoom:3 baddie backed out citing creative differences and script issues. However, there is also buzz that the real reason behind the PK hero turning the Farhan’s film is remuneration.

Apart from this project, Aamir was offered a film by Karan Johar. The Dharma head honcho has been wanting to team with the Fanaa actor for the longest time. Johar even had few meeting with Aamir apparently the duo even worked on the script together but eventually Azad’s daddy dearest rejected the proposal and left Karan in a sticky situation. Had Mr Perfectionist said yes to KJo’s venture then we would have seen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aamir onscreen.

Yes, we know the Satyamev Jayate host is very picky when it comes to choosing films but then at times it better to trust the makers and go with the flow then sit back and fuss over script. And if Aamir can do a typical Bollywood masala flick like Dhoom:3 then and we are pretty sure what Farhan and Karan offered him would have been worth doing.
