Salman Khan along with Mukesh Ambani’s wifey launched ISL #grassroots football movement in Mumbai The programme aims to reach out to several young footballers who lack quality infrastructure.
The initiative will be carried out by the eight clubs of the Indian Super League (ISL), Reliance IMG and three private NGOs.
In it’s initial phase it aims to reach out to more than 5 Lakh kids through schools and playgrounds. Under this initiative, kids aging 10-13 years will undergo two selection trials before being picked up by the Reliance IMG under its scholarship programme.
Salman endorsed the need of sports in the all-round development of a child. He was very vocal about his support for this unique programme.
