The two actors are leading the votes for PETA India’s Hottest Vegetarian Celebrity 2014 contest
The race is on. PETA — People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals – is holding their annual competition to determine who is the hottest vegetarian male and female celeb. And leading the pack are none other than Kangana Ranaut and Shahid Kapur. The contest which is open till December 26, on PETAIndia.com invites people to vote for their top choice. The list of names includes not just Bollywood actors but prominent names from Hollywood, business personalities, politicians, musicians, models and more.
Kangana who won Hottest Vegetarian Celebrity last year as well had said she gave up meat as she found vegetarian food more organic.
Sachin Bangera, PETA India Manager of Media and Celebrity Projects says, “These stars prove that being vegetarian is super-sexy. Kangana has remained a winning choice due to her hit movie Queen and also since she has a large fan following. Shahid, was named PETA Asia-Pacific’s Sexiest Vegetarian Man in 2011 and his popularity has soared post his big release this year. He has maintained a great physique while being on a vegetarian diet. Most of the celebrities on our list, have done campaigns for the organisation before. And it really helps when celebrities talk about the cause.”
The winners of the poll will be announced on December 30 after taking into account the number of votes received as well as PETA’s assessment of the popularity and attractiveness of the celebrity. Other runners-up for the title include currently in second place, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, followed by Amitabh Bachchan and R Madhavan amongst the males. While the female list second ranking is Rekha, then Jacqueline Fernandez and Neha Dhupia.
