Salman Khan ended his run as the hit reality show’s host yesterday and handed over the reins to Farah Khan. Here are the five moments we liked best from last night’s finale…
In a turn of events, Salman Khan decided to stop hosting Bigg Boss 8 and Farah Khan was called in to fill his shoes. While we are yet to see whether she will do a good job or not, for now we take a look at the five best moments from last night’s Bigg Boss 8: Finale Ka Twist.
Salman Khan’s kickass performance
The original host began yesterday’s finale by dancing to a medley of his hit songs. From Yaar na miley to Oh Oh jaane jaana, Salman grooved to the best tunes of his career and left his fans craving for more. Ex-contestants Minissha Lamba, Arya Babbar, Praneet Bhat, Natasa Stankovic also joined him on stage.
Salman and Sonali Raut’s banter
Though it could hardly be called a banter considering that Sonali was acting like a pouty child without any make-up on sitting in her regular clothes while the rest of her contenders were dressed well. Sonali claimed that she was irritated by Bigg Boss and had her rebel mode on in full force. Seeing that Salman first tried consoling her, which was aww-worthy then he treated her with a sarcastic remark “Main aapke saath kama karna chahta hun,” hinting at that fact that Sonali has always exhibited unprofessional behaviour. Well, Sonali was later evicted and she came out of the house dressed in her house clothes so we’ll just say it was her loss.
The entry of Halla Bol challengers
Salman also introduced the Halla Bol challengers at yesterday’s finale. Sambhavana Seth, Mahek Chahal, Rahul Mahajan and Sana Khan each made a smashing entry on stage while making open challenges to the Bigg Boss Champions Gautam Gulati, Karishma Tanna, Pritam Singh, Ali Quli Mirza and Dimpy Ganguly. Their energy makes us look forward to Bigg Boss Halla Bol!
Salman’s chitthi to Farah Khan
Salman handed over Bigg Boss’s hosting duties to Farah Khan in a letter which he read out at the finale last night. In the letter he explained how he was committed to Bajrangi Bhaijaan and also told Farah that he truly believes that she will do a good job at hosting the show. He also pulled her leg saying that at any point while hosting the show if she needs Salman’s help, she should not bother calling him! Salman signed off with his signature “Do whatever you want man!”
Salman’s apology to his fans
Right before the end of the finale Salman apologised to hsi fans for leaving the show mid-way so abruptly. He said that due to his dates given to Bajrangi Bhaijaan he could no longer host Bigg Boss 8. But he left his fans with a promise that if ever he finds a free day in his hectic schedule he would come back to Bigg Boss!
